Parkinson's disease, Cognition, Action and Neuroimaging

Research Interest

A multidisciplinary approach is used to study the role of the basal ganglia and the prefrontal cortex in executive processes as well as the origins of the cognitive deficits observed in Parkinson’s disease and in other neurodegenerative disorders such as Lewy Body Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The methods include fMRI, micro-structural anatomical MRI, TMS, PET, computational neuroscience, neuropsychology and models of functional connectivity. More recently, collaborations have started to combine neuroimaging data with genetic markers in Parkinson's disease.
